Engineered Oak Beam Repair

Case studies
Architectural Timber

The repaired area blended into the surrounding oakwork, preserving the appearance of the structure and meeting the client’s expectations.

The challenge

A damaged section of a prominent engineered oak beam needed to be removed and replaced without leaving a visible repair in the finished architectural structure.

The solution

Working at height, LRA precisely removed the damaged timber and fitted a carefully matched replacement. Alignment, surface profile, colour and grain transition were treated as critical finishing details.

The outcome

The repaired area blended into the surrounding oakwork, preserving the appearance of the structure and meeting the client’s expectations.
